The day started off with myself
running around to find keys and combination for the key safe having not read
the instructions for the new security arrangements properly (good start) but
after that I held a briefing and walked the Track, the weather was perfect.
10 cars were assembled in the Paddock with 3 Westfields, E.Type, MX5, Renault Spider, Morgan, Porsche Boxster, Cobra and an Aston Martin Db9, quite a line up, everything went well all day, we broke for lunch at 1.00pm and had a Fish and Chip meal while others had picnic lunches, after lunch more driving, with everyone going quicker through the day. Only three incidents during the Event when Wayne did a 360 coming out of the top bend but he stayed on the track, the MX5 lost a oil filler cap and Wayne had to be trailered home after selecting 2nd gear, over revving the engine and bending a valve on No 3 cylinder. Every one including Wayne went home at about 5.00 pm with big grins on their faces. Myself and Glenn stayed to lock up when I discovered that I had lost the keys, after much searching and cursing myself, I found the keys half way up the Paddock so all ended well! We all look forward to next year!
