Sunday 4th of May saw the Shire Bears and friends attending the Imperial War Museum’s Classic car day at Duxford Airfield.
There were a multitude of single mark clubs at the event, but we had the prime position in front of the American hanger.

The rear of our stand was hard up against the main taxiway which allowed stunning views as the aircraft taxied past. |
| We had a total of 21 cars at this event from a GT40 to a Bond Bug. The weather was kind to us; it stayed fine for most of the day with just a little rain in the late afternoon. |

| We had a lot of club information on display and managed to sign up one new member as well as giving details of the club to a large number of interested visitors. |

There was no specific air display scheduled for the day but a number of aircraft were flown on an impromptu basis and we thank the pilots of these machines who made our day even more enjoyable |
|
Our thanks also go to Wayne Knight who transported all the club gear to and from Duxford, helping to build the stand of which our founding member was heard to say “This is the best stand on the airfield”.Andy |
