Cholmondeley Pageant of Power July 17th and 18th 2010 This new-ish event takes place over the weekend July 17th and 18th in the beautiful grounds of Cholmondeley (pronounced Chumley) Castle, where the Cholmondeley family have resided since Norman times. The Picturesque Gothick castle that now stands on the site was built in the early 19th century. Set this against the passion for motors - a notable example was the Alfa Romeo 8C which the Marquess collected from Milan in 1932 and, travelling via his home in the South of France, it was immediately entered for a race from Paris to Nice, finishing 5th. So with all this in the blood it's no surprise they now have a track built in the grounds and have launched the PAGEANT OF POWER to open this passion with other Petrolheads over a fun fuelled weekend.
