Dear Mike &
Caroline, Thank you for the donation of £5000 which was raised by the Sporting Bears Motor Club at the Classic Car Show at the NEC last November. As you will be aware, Hollybank cares for and educates some of society’s most vulnerable people; children, young people and adults with complex disabilities and learning difficulties. This donation is very much appreciated and will help us to help them. It was a pleasure to meet you at the NEC in November and I hope that we will meet again soon. Once again, on behalf of the Trust, I would like to say a big thank you to all members of te Sporting Bears Motor Club for such generous support. Angie Dickinson Fundraising Officer, Hollybank Trust |

Dear Tony, It is with great delight that I write this letter to the Sporting Bears of Edinburgh following safe receipt of an extremely generous cheque for £1000, presented to Mo Grant. We really are overwhelmed at the generosity the Sporting Bears have shown through the years and delighted that you and your area have chosen to support React’s work once again. The Sporting Bears enthusiasm towards our work and commitment to terminally ill children is greatly valued. This latest contribution will be put to best use in improving the quality of life for more seriously ill children who need our care. Once again thank you for all your support. With best wishes, Yours sincerely, Vicky Andreas Director of Client Services |

Dear Mike and
Caroline,
I am writing on
behalf of SOLVE IT to thank you and your members of Sporting Bears Motor
Club for the kind donation of £500. |

Dear Caroline, Thank you for your letter enclosing a generous donation of £500 to our Association. It was kind of you to think of us once again and we appreciate your continued support. Please convey our thanks to the members of SBMC and in particular to the Polar Bears. Please assure them that the money will be well spent. One of our projects is to provide INR machines for children and adults with congenital heart disorders. An INR machine allows monitoring of anticoagulation levels in the blood using only a drop rather than a syringe full of blood, and this can be done at home rather than at a surgery or clinic. This is much less stressful and time consuming and makes a huge difference to the whole family. Your donation will help with this project. Thank you again for your support. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, Jim Kelman Scottish Association for Children with Heart Disorders |

Dear Caroline &
Mike, Many thanks for your letter informing us that you raised the magnificent sum of £750 at the Classic Car Show event at Alexandra Palace last month. We were delighted to have received this amount. As you are probably aware, we work with families who have a child or young adult with a disability and throughout the year we run a series of social training and holiday projects. We are always in need of extra funds in order to continue our work so all donations are gratefully received. So once again, many thanks to you and all your members for all their hard work on our behalf. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, Sandra Rosen Appeals coordinator, Kith and Kids |

Dear Mike and
Caroline, I am writing to thank you for your very kind and generous donation of £650. We are delighted Sporting Bears Motor Club has sent this donation to Sense. Please pass on my sincere thanks to everyone involved for both their commitment and time taken to raise the money. The funds raised will make a huge difference in our work with deafblind people and will help fund various life enhancing projects. We hope that you will continue to support Sense in the future and continue to fundraise for us as and when it is appropriate for you. Every donation that we receive is always welcomed and will support the vital work that we do with deaf and blind people. Once again, thank you for your fantastic donation to Sense. Kindest regards, Abby Rudland Events Fundraiser, Sense |

Dear Mike and
Caroline, Thank you very much for your £900 cheque which we are delighted to receive. Congratulations on the success of your fundraiser, I do appreciate just how much hard work goes into setting up of these events and you really do deserve the excellent results you have had. This money will be used by the children’s bereavement group who are extremely grateful to you all for this valuable donation which enable them to develop this vital facility which is such an important part of our aftercare. Please keep up the good work, everyone at the hospice is very grateful to you. Once again, thank you. Yours sincerely, Val Walters Fundraising Officer, Severn Hospice |

Dear Andrew, A very special thank you to all of the Sporting Bears for the fantastic donation of £2000 to AYME. We had a great day on Saturday getting to know your members and their cars. AYME has more than 270 severely affected members, who are bed-bound, in darkened, silent rooms because they are sensitive to light and sound. Some are tube-fed because they are too weak to chew their food and many are so touch sensitive they cannot be hugged for comfort by their parents. Your donation will help AYME make a difference to these children’s lives by increasing awareness among the medical profession and the general public, and fund the work of our National Support Worker who visits the most severely affected Aymers and their families. Thank you very much for supporting AYME. Katie James Grants and Projects Worker AYME |

Dear Sheila, Many thanks for forwarding the photo of Russ Swift and the bidders in the Dream Rides auction and also for the £30 cheque that was raised in the collection box over the weekend. I had a fantastic couple of days with the club at the NEC and really enjoyed working with you all. I was very impressed with the running of the stand which stayed professional, but more importantly, fun at all times, even under the pressure of the crowds. I would be grateful if you would pass on our heartfelt thanks to the club and the committee members for all of their hard work in support of Hollybank over the weekend. Dream Rides is an excellent fundraising idea, and we are very pleased that you chose to support us this year. I look forward to hearing from the club soon regarding the total amount raised, and I will be more than happy to arrange a cheque presentation to involve our local press. Yours sincerely, Angie Dickinson Fundraising Officer, Hollybank Trust

Dear Caroline, Mike
and Sporting Bear,
Firstly, congratulations on raising such a fantastic sum. Although, I’m not surprised it was a brilliant day and a chance for so many people to have a ride in a car of their dreams. Thank you for the donation to our group of £2000. It’s amazing. The money will be well spent supporting people with Down’s Syndrome in the Swindon area. Just this week I have started organising our annual training day for parents, carers, teachers, training assistants and other professionals involved with the care and education of our children. We have some excellent speakers lined up which means we will get the best advise on how to help our children, which is exactly what they deserve. Thank you for making this possible. We would love to meet you all for a cheque presentation. I don’t know who was more excited about the prospect of another ride in one of the cars, the kids or the adults! Yours sincerely, Nicky Parker Chair, Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group |

Dear Caroline and Mike,
Thank you for you letter of 9th January 2006, enclosing a donation of £5500. You have raised an amazing amount of money; please pass our thanks on to all your members and everyone who supported your fabulous fund raiser. It was a brilliant way to raise money and everyone really enjoyed the weekend. I know my husband Steve and I did. I am liaising with Tony and Kate Willock about arranging a cheque presentation. Plans regarding the outdoor play equipment are going ahead and we will keep you fully informed of all developments. On behalf of everyone here at Sketchley Hill Menphys Nursery, I would like to say a huge thank you and look forward to our continued association. Yours sincerely. Helen M. Dear Mike & Caroline, On behalf of the children at The Norman Laud Centre and all the families that are supported by our services, not to mention all the staff at the association, thank you for the generous donation of £5500. We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen by yourselves to benefit from last years Dream Cars Event held at the Classic Car Show at the NEC. I will keep you updated with progress of the playground for your club magazine. Please pass our gratitude on to all your members. Thank you. Dear Sporting
Bears,

Dear Mike & Caroline, We’d like to send a gi-normous thanks to the SBMC for all its efforts and the fabulous cheque for £2000 for the charity. This amount gives us a tremendous start for the new year - we had drained all our piggy banks just before Christmas buying a new portable blood pressure monitor for Chelmsford community nurses as their old unit had finally given up the ghost. Thank you very much again for your wonderful, selfless work. Kindest regards, Greg Tingey The Teddy Charity |
